‘Pulo Cuisine’ A Twist on Tacos

the 5 o’clock rush was pleasantly surprised and honoured to be chosen to participate in the Pulo Recipe Challenge.

The challenge is to develop a recipe using the products from Pulo Cuisine.

the 5 o’clock rush was given sample products to review for this post. The package arrived with 2 cooking sauces and 3 marinades.

Pulo, which means ISLAND, is an authentic collection of sauces and marinades inspired by the 7000 islands of the Philippines – the original fusion cuisine where East (Asia) meets West (Spanish)

Cinco De Mayo Taco Night

Yesterday was May 5th or Cinco de Mayo, so the plans for dinner were going to involve the tastes and flavours of Mexico. In my house, taco night is a family favourite.

Tacos are simple, inexpensive and adjustable to what the kids like in their tacos.

I chose to use lean turkey as my main filling for the tacos and the kids did not miss the beef component once the spices were added.

“Boxing Day” Dinner

Dinner Tonight – Homemade chicken fingers with brown rice and sweet corn. My breading station consists of seasoned flour, eggs and bread crumbs with Parmesan cheese. Making homemade chicken fingers, you can control the ingredients in the breading.
